Introducing the all-new 2025 Nissan Kicks crossover SUV, which is bigger outside, more spacious inside, and has a powerful engine with lots of modern amenities.
Right away, you’ll notice Nissan’s signature V-Motion grille is gone. There isn’t a single reference to V-Motion anywhere in the Kicks press release. Look closely at the new face, however, and you’ll see vestiges of the old design language. The openings on the bladed grille slant inward, culminating in a ridge atop the fascia. At the top, narrow headlights also angle downward on the inner edges. It’s a very clean, squarish look that extends rearward with a high, straight beltline. At the rear, uniquely shaped LED taillights seamlessly blend with a black trim reminiscent of those found on the similarly-sized Alfa Romeo Milano.
S, SV, and SR trims will be offered, with the SR pictured here getting 19-inch wheels and special accent lights below the headlights, along with sporty-ish design touches inside, including red stitching and other unique trim. The new Kicks also have significantly more ground clearance than before, 8.4 inches compared with the previous model’s 7.0 inches.
The new interior is radically different thanks to a pair of display screens for the driver-center infotainment system. That centre screen measures up to 12.3 inches, with a 7-inch screen installed as standard. It controls an array of technology that includes optional 360-degree surround-view cameras and an available Bose 10-speaker sound system. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are built into the system.
The 2025 Nissan Kicks are exclusively available with a new naturally aspirated 2.0-litre four-cylinder gasoline engine generating 139 hp and 140 lb-ft of torque. This engine is coupled with Nissan’s latest iteration of the Xtronic automatic gearbox (CVT), distributing power to either the front or all four wheels. The optional Intelligent All-Wheel Drive system, available across the lineup, stands out as a key feature of the new generation. Combined with the “Snow” driving mode and a ground clearance of 8.4 inches, it bolsters the crossover’s capabilities for light off-roading.
